This domination of cable really seems to irritate left-leaning people. I sat with a woman at a party recently who continually stated that people like Glenn Beck and Rush Linbaugh should "be more responsible" when discussing politics, etc., on air, of course assuming, that they were irrespsonsibly speading lies and advocating violence (what else is new). Anyway, I said to her, exactly how would you like this accomplished? Do you want the govt. to control what people say in this country? If GWB were still President (if only), would you want him to control what people say and what you hear? She of course said no. And, I said well I don't want BHO to control what I hear or say either. I thought that I had made inroads with this woman but, alas, when I was done with my response, she said something to the effect of "but someone should still make those guys be more responsible." She just could not grasp the concept of free speech and she never will. That is the problem that we are dealing with - many, many people on the left WANT speech controlled for the right. Period.
